FAQs

Are there any age restrictions?

Anyone 18 and up can work out at Biscayne Boxing, and teenagers are welcome to join their parents.

.

What are the demographics?

The gym is CO-ED and includes members of different ages and different backgrounds, which makes it such a diverse and fun place.

.

Can I pay my membership with credit card?

We accept most credit & debit cards.

.

What equipment do I need?

We will take care of your equipment during your free trial. Once you decide to join and become a member, you will need only 2 things – a pair of boxing wraps and boxing gloves (typically 12 or 14Oz). Both can be bought at the gym and are very reasonable priced (wraps are $10 and gloves are $35-$45).

.

Do I have to fight anyone in classes?

No. Most of the classes are non-contact classes. However, if you would like to go to the next level and spar, we have sparring partners available.  All sparring will be done under professional supervision.

Hi there. Every year I vist Miami for 4 weeks from the UK. I always pass your gym and often wanted to call in. I was hoping this year I could join for 1 month while I’m in town. I’m currently training for my second London Marathon and wanted to add some boxing CV work into my training. Either one on one or in a class. Could you help?
I arrive in Miami on 17th Feb. Thanks andy

I have always been interested in taking boxing classes as a part of my exercise routine. I purchased a deal and I am anxious to use it, with some hesitation. I would like to know if this type of exercise would be good for persons with lower back problems, such as myself. I really hope that your trainers are able to work with individuals with back problems.

      Jenny,
Boxing is a hard but excellent discipline to improve your health condition in general.
Since you have a lower back problem, we recommend you to get the approval of your physician before to start any new work-out routine. With your doctor consent, we’ll be able to check which classes will be more convenient for you.
      See you soon! :)
